What does a wireless polished rod load cell measure?
It measures polished rod load and position in one device. Together they give the surface dynamometer card that a pump-off controller uses to monitor and control a sucker rod pumping well.
How is the load cell powered?
By a built-in solar panel with a quick-charging, long-lasting battery. No power cable runs to the polished rod.
Will it work with my pump controller?
Yes. It works with all the major pump controllers on the market, with either mA or mV output. It also pairs with the ULT VFD rod pump controller.
Why use a wireless load cell?
Load cell cables at the polished rod are a common failure point. Wireless digital communication removes them, along with the alarms, shutdowns and cable replacements that cable failures cause.
How is it installed?
It sits on the carrier bar of the pumping unit. The U-shaped transmitter structure and minimal wiring make installation quick.
